Solder Paste Inspection (SPI), Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) and In Circuit Tester (ICT) technologies for advanced PCBs inspection, test and measurement.

To reduce the rework or maintenance costs and ultimately production yield enhancement.

  • Measuring the thickness, area and volume distribution of solder paste on printed circuit boards (PCBs)

  • Monitor and control one of the most critical steps affecting the finished quality

SPI

  • An automated visual inspection of PCBA to replace traditional human inspection

  • Test for both catastrophic failure (e.g. missing component) and quality defects (e.g. fillet size or shape or component skew).

SMD AOI

  • Controlled by computer program, electrical testing of circuit boards rapidly and accurately to pick out the defects in manufacturing process.

  • e.g. PCBA solder short circuit, parts change, insert the wrong parts, parts missing, open circuit assembly problem

ICT

  • Functional test is performed durng the lat phase of the production line. This is often referred to as a final quality control test, which is done to ensure that specification are carried out by FCTs.

  • Chowsons Group can develop the functional tester based on customer’s testing plan/procedure.
